QIIME 2 / rachis is now funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation
We are excited to announce new project funding support for QIIME 2 / rachis from the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNF) for the project "Advancing microbiome science through integration of next-generation multi-omics technologies in the QIIME 2 bioinformatics framework" (Project 10008221). Support from the SNF will enable us to expand QIIME 2 / rachis to analyze new and emerging technologies for microbial DNA sequencing and metabolite profiling. This includes further development of QIIME 2 for handling long-read DNA sequencing technologies; development of the MOSHPIT distribution for shotgun metagenome sequence data analysis; and additional bioinformatics tools to meet the needs of emerging nucleotide sequencing and mass spectrometry technologies for studying complex microbial communities. We will announce exciting new features and developments here, so stay tuned for more information! ![]()
